Foundation Program
This guide provides information on both; the Foundation Program offered by the Colleges of Applied Sciences, and the English Language Teaching Program at Al Rustaq College. This guide does not apply to courses taught in Arabic at Rustaq College of Education.
The Foundation Program in the Colleges of Applied Sciences includes a maximum of four semesters of study. It has been designed in accordance with the standards of the General Foundation Program established by the Omani Accreditation Commission. These standards require that students achieve satisfactory performance in (4) areas: English language and learning skills, Mathematics and Computer.
Foundation Program Structure
The English and the learning skills component were combined into one course while mathematics and computer were introduced in separate courses before the start of the academic year.
In the Foundation Program the student must take a placement test in English, Mathematics and Computer.
