Introduction
A Student Career Guidance Centre has been established in every College of Applied Sciences to help carry out the Ministry of Higher Education’s policy of promoting high standards of education and producing outstanding graduates who are well-equipped to enter a highly-competitive job market inside and outside the Sultanate.
The rationale behind creating such Centres was to help students fulfil their professional aspirations by equipping them with the necessary tools to meet the challenges of professional life.
Mission
We endeavour to:

provide guidance and support for College students in choosing and planning for their careers.

raise their awareness about the skills to succeed in the job market, and help them acquire those skills.

Internship and student training
-
Arranging and coordinating for students’ training is one of the most important tasks carried out by the Center, where the Center coordinates with various parties in both public and private sector in order to create training opportunities for students. Internship is a compulsory course for third year students who have completed their third academic year.
Graduates Follow-up
Training &Student Career Guidance Center communicates with all graduates in order to identify those who have joined the labor market and try to provide advice and assistance to job seekers. The center also provides graduates with training request letter.
Entrepreneurship
Training and Student Career Guidance Center Training is keen to encourage students to engage in entrepreneurship through organizing related activities and events which aim to provide students with skills required to enter entrepreneurial world and establish their own businesses.
Eentrepreneurship Club was established in cooperation with SME Development Fund SMEF (AL-Namaa Fund). E-Club seeks to spread awareness of entrepreneurship among CAS-Ibri students and local community.

A’Dhahirah Schools Forum:
Training and Student Career Guidance Center annually organizes a forum for school students (Grade 10-12) to
introduce them to the college’s academic programs and promote for the college in the local community
Specializations Fair:
The center also organizes specializations fair each year in cooperation with academic departments. The fair aims to introduce first-year students to the offered majors in each academic program at the college and help them choose their majors based on their interests and job market needs. In the past two academic years, the center organized the fair in cooperation with Student Advisory Council to activate collaboration with students.
